Born and raised in Alva, Oklahoma, Connie’s lifelong love for art was nurtured during her education at Alva High School and Northwestern Oklahoma State University, where she obtained both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree. Prior to embarking on her artistic journey, Connie pursued various careers in business and consulting. However, her passion for art eventually led her to establish The Fifthsister Art Gallery and Studio in Waynoka, Oklahoma, which she has owned and operated for the past 20 years.
Connie’s artistic repertoire spans across digital, acrylic, and oil mediums. The diversity of her creations, ranging from abstract to realism, keeps her artwork consistently fresh, intriguing, and intellectually challenging. Her meticulous attention to detail in representational pieces reveals her dedication to precise replication, while her abstract creations showcase her whimsical and contemplative nature, embracing freedom and spontaneity.

Her works have graced the walls of the Graceful Arts Center in Alva, Oklahoma, the Panache Gallery in Mendocino, California, and the Hutchinson Art Center in Hutchinson, Kansas. She has also been affiliated with The Oklahoma Art Guild in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, solidifying her presence within the regional art scene.
In 2018, Connie’s exceptional talent earned her First and People’s Choice awards in the NWOSU Art Society Art Show, cementing her status as a distinguished artist within her community and beyond.
